City of Eldon Fourth of July Celebration – Thursday, July 4, 2019

Eldon’s July 4th celebration includes a 5K Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m., a parade at 11:00 a.m., half-price swim at Eldon Aquatic Center at 12:00 p.m., and activities for the whole family at the Eldon Airpark beginning at 1 p.m. Top your holiday off right and watch the fantastic fireworks display at the Airpark at dusk.

FOUR Ways to Celebrate:

Firecracker 5K Run/Walk

Time: 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Location: Eldon Public Safety Building,111 South Oak Street, Eldon MO 65026
Location Notes: The public safety route will be used for this race
Event Description:
Starting at the Eldon Public Safety Building at 7:30am, this 5K is a booming good time! Compete with fellow runners for great prizes (and bragging rights for the year). There will also be inflatables for the kids, food and drink vendors, karaoke, AND MORE. It'll be fun for all ages!

4th of July Parade

Time: Begins at 11:00 a.m.
Location: Downtown Eldon, MO
Event Description:
Catch the parade of floats from businesses and other organizations as it winds its way through downtown Eldon. It's a great way to get into the holiday spirit and get involved in this fun community event. You may even be able to catch some yummy candy while you watch!

Fun Family Activities at the Airpark

Time: Begins at 1:00 p.m. and activities run until dusk
Location: Eldon Airpark
Events & Description:

 *Free Family Kick Ball Tournament at Eldon Air Park Soccer Field; 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
*Food Truck Village at Eldon Air Park; 4:00 pm – 11:00 pm
*Craft Vendors, Face Painting and more at Eldon Air Park; 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
*Concert In The Park Featuring Pure Drive; 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Bring the kids out to play on the playground equipment. Park activities will gear up around 1:00 p.m. for the afternoon.  You can also enjoy the sand volleyball court. Another perk you can enjoy is the horseshoe pit.  Bring the entire family out for an afternoon of fun in the sun!

Fireworks Show

Time: Fireworks Display begins at Dusk
Location: Eldon Air Park
Event Description:
A spectacular fireworks show will take place at dusk. This is a great way to celebrate the booming holiday. Enjoy the beautiful fireworks show as the sun goes down. It's an evening for the kids and adults to take in and enjoy together!

BONUS!

The Eldon Aquatic Center is open from 12:00pm to 4:00 pm for a HALF-PRICE SWIM. Splash around and take a dunk in the pool. It's the perfect way to cool off this 4th of July!
